Well, as you can see from the photographs I finished cycling
nearly 1,000 miles over 10 days from Land’s End to John O’Groats. It was a
fantastic experience, one I can highly recommend to anyone. We live in a
beautiful country and our route took us through some of the best of it taking
in Dartmoor, Somerset Levels, Forest of Dean, Peak District, Pennines,
Yorkshire Dales, Borders and Cairngorms. And I was lucky enough to undertake
the adventure with a fantastic group of cyclists and a great support team.

Worst day? Definitely the penultimate day from Aviemore to
Brora in the driving rain and gale force winds. Not pleasant for cycling but we
were so close to the end nothing was going to stop us. Would I do it all again? Absolutely and I saw a lot of Post
Offices along the way!
Best day? Undoubtedly the 110 miles from Kinross to Aviemore
climbing over 6,300 ft into the mist, up winding roads and through majestic
scenery. A group of 4 of us worked hard as a team to complete that day despite
an cumulative total of 5 punctures and one broken chain. The sense of
achievement at the end was immense and the natural high extraordinary. In
addition there was so much kindness shown to us during the day, allowing us to
dry out, warm up and refuel.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported me for
the ride. If you would like to see more photos then check out http://www.moneyspinners.org
