The 'Tour de Farce' Team

About the 'Tour de Farce'
When fans of rival football clubs got together over a friendly drink to discuss how they could raise funds for the Smile4Rich Ambulance Appeal, few would have guessed that they'd choose to cycle from Middlesbrough to Southampton! Now after much discussion, studying of maps and sober reflection, these Southampton and Portsmouth fans have committed to this 6 day challenge of over 360 miles.
The majority of the team are the wrong side of 40 and range from a keen amateur cyclist to one who will probably need stabilisers (and an oxygen mask!) - hence the 'Tour de Farce'. It will be a tough journey, but knowing that we'll be raising loads of cash for Smile4Rich will make the miles go a little more easily, so please dig deep and sponsor us online today!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Smile4Rich will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. Keep Smiling!
PS. For those who entered our competition to win the signed England shirt, I can confirm that the final mileage was 389.2 miles. The nearest guess (and winner) came from Saints fan Kate P with a guess of 389.5 miles.
