Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust
Story
As you may have heard the UK is soon to leave Europe... before that happens and the freedom of movement we've all enjoyed so much is gone (possibly), Paul, Gavin and Kieran are going to drive 2,014 miles across 12 countries over 10 days in a £500 banger. Why? Well, it's all to take part in the Dumball Rally and raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity dedicated to helping support young people with cancer. Contracting cancer at any age is shit but imagine being told you've a life threatening disease just as you're about to take your school exams or you’re just starting to develop your own identity that will take you into young adulthood. Imagine having to spend hours in treatment each week when your friends are out having fun, developing relationships, enjoying the school summer holidays, watching bands, shopping, playing sports, just generally being kids. Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’ Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity dedicated to making this happen. The Dumball Rally started in 2006 and has so far raised over £850,000. They're determined to smash the £1 million mark in 2018 and we're determined to help them! You can read more about this legendary convoy (it's not a race) here: http://dumball.org
