We provide family-led care and support to children with life-limiting conditions

Story

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my Just Giving site!

So you’re probably all thinking ‘’what’s Siobhan up to now?’’, well here’s the info...

My aim is to raise a £1000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice. This hospice is based in Boston Spa, Wetherby and helps support terminally ill children and young adults as well as their families. They rely mainly on public donations so that’s why it’s so important that we dig deep and do our bit to help. You never know if someone that you know may need a place like this in the future. A depressing  thought, but true.

So in a moment of madness I’ve set myself the challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. It’ll take around 9 days to trek to base camp (fingers crossed) dealing with altitudes of up to 5545m (18192ft!) Phew! To top it off I’ll then be doing an 8 day trek to the peak of Gokyo Ri (google it), still at a high altitude of 5483 metres (17990ft).

I’ll be setting off for Nepal in April (this year) so I would love to raise as much as possible for Martin House in the time I have. I know this trip will be hard both physically and mentally and that sleeping in the tea houses with the rats is gonna suck but with my determination and your support it’s possible to make a difference to so many young lives!

Thanks!

Siobhan
