CLAPA is the national UK charity supporting people affected by cleft lip and palate. We provide specialist feeding equipment, trusted information, one‑to‑one and online support, youth services, and community events, while raising awareness and championing better cleft care for all.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

My daughter, Amy, was born September 2003 with a cleft lip and palate (see inset photo taken at 3 months just prior to her first operation).

Amy has now been through two successful operations and CLAPA has helped us through these difficult and worrying times by providing support and information on all aspects of clefts from feeding to knowing that we are not the only ones going through this experience.

I would now like to give something back to CLAPA so that they can continue to help other families who are affected by a cleft lip and/or palate.
I will be trekking/camping in the Peruvian Andes at the end of September this year, walking for between 6-7 hours a day (it may take me a little longer!!!!!).
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cleft Lip And Palate Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Many thanks for your support. Stephen For more information on CLAPA visit www.clapa.com
