Retina UK is the only UK charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by inherited sight loss. We fund medical research to accelerate the search for treatments for the future, and provide information and support to help people lead better lives today.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

After raising many thousands for Guide Dogs by Horse Riding in Mongolia and in the Gobi Desert, Cycling right across Cuba, Then Trekking the Himalayas and twice across the Sinai desert and up Mount Sinai on foot along with 8 days on (and in) the White Waters of the Zambezi Rafting in the company of sighted people a third of his age, Ian is now getting into training for another project to raise money for research into the prevention and treatment of Retinitis Pigmentosa; The cause of his own blindness.

Ian will not benefit himself but thousands of others can be saved from this distressing disability.
