Trees for Cities - 2009 London Tree-Athlon · 19 September 2009 ·

We plant urban trees in parks, streets, schools and housing estates across the UK, as well as internationally, revitalising these areas and improving the lives of the people who live in them. We strengthen communities through volunteering opportunities and inspire children to grow and eat good food.

Story

Hi guys,

In September this year, I am doing my bit for the trees of London, and committing myself to this huge physical challenge.

You may have sponsored triathletes, marathon runners or even solo ocean rowers before in the past, however now is your chance to sponsor me to run the monumental distance of 500,000 (centi) metres, all in for the worthy cause of our environment, and planting more trees in London.

Ok, so this 5  km run may not seem the greatest challenge, but your support would be greatly received, and I promise to run the whole way (no walking...)

Just a pound or two will do!

Now for the bit about how just giving works:

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Trees for Cities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
