No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

I'm cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats ("LEJOG") in May 2011. My mate Mark Dewson had the idea (after too many beers) as a way of celebrating his 40th birthday. So now we are MAMILs.

Trouble is I'm not very fit and training opportunities are limited by work sending me to Brussels every week. I'm going to need a lot of motivation and mental stamina for when I 'bonk' (cyclists word for 'hitting the wall', apparently).

This is where you come in - by sponsoring me so much cash that it's impossible for me to give up, even when my knees are exploding.

Julia's House does great things for life-limited kids, so please dig deep.

For general amusement I will post updates on my painfully slow progress up-country on Twitter (@teewitch) & Facebook.

cheers/Trev
