I've just cycled from Marble Arch in London to Arc du Triomphe in Paris over four days in June, as part of a small group of eleven riders.
My friend Andy organised this ride to raise money for his charity of choice (you can read his kidney cancer story here). When he first suggested I join him, I thought "no chance". Although I'd ridden a bike all my life, I would never really have called myself a cyclist. Most of my riding is just pootling around town getting from A to B.
But I eventually agreed to tag along. I've been posting updates about my training - and now about the completed ride - on my blog.
