I'm off again - on 1st November this year, I will be donning my very unattractive cycling shorts to ride over 400km for Norwood, this time in beautiful, but MOUNTAINOUS South Africa!! I'm told the distance is shorter (than Vietnam/Cambodia), but the pain is likely to be greater.

We're cycling from George to Cape Town - and the ride involves a 400m ascent on day 1, followed by an 11km climb on day 2 - mostly, I'm told, on unsurfaced roads. I've decided not to look at the remaining 3 days for fear of putting me off completely!
