Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, at this stage your contribution can make all the difference between me reaching my target of fundraising £2,000 or not!  THANK YOU

My other target of completing my first triathlon was accomplished on Sunday 2nd August.  What an amazing day!

Here are my times (I took my time and enjoyed the sense of occasion!)

1.2 mile swim - 38:13 sec

40k Bike ride to Tower Bridge, twice: 1hr 51 sec

10k run around Excel Marina, twice: 55:40 sec

Thank you to every one for all the support, love (and cash) you have given.  Emma X X

RB Mind is a charity that works at a local level in Richmond Upon Thames to improve the mental health of the local community, service users and their Carers.  RB Mind has been working hard in the borough of Richmond since 1959 and is run largely by local people, 21 staff and around 90 volunteers, many of whom have lived experience of mental distress.  We operate Carers, Counselling, Peer Support, Timebanking, Eco-therapy, Community Development and Drop-in services.  Each year we help around 750 people on a practical, emotional and therapeutic level.

Our vision is a society where people who experience mental distress are flourishing within their local communities, and we will not stop our work until people with experience of mental distress have the same opportunities as every one else to play an active part in their communities.

All of your donation will go towards sustaining our local charity and my legs as I stagger over the finish line!

Thank you

Emma King, Director, Richmond Borough Mind
