Story

I am running the Windsor Half Marathon!

As you may know I prefer transportation on four wheels rather than two legs so this makes the fact I'm are running the Windsor Half Marathon all the more special!

I am undertaking this event for reasons extremely close to my heart. Just before Christmas my best friend Richard passed away at the age of 22 due to his medical condition.

Richard was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was a teenager but this never held him back from living life to the full. He always loved taking part in sport and looking for new adventures to ensure he stayed fit. He was, and still is, an inspiration to me.

Therefore I am running the half marathon in Richard’s honour to raise money for Diabetes UK along with his friends, family and co-workers. I hope that extra funding for research could one day stop these tragic circumstances from touching other people’s lives. The money raised will also help improve the lives of thousands of people in the UK that already live with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Thank you.
