Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, I have nocturnal epilepsy, and as such I wanted to do something to contribute to the research of epilepsy. Not that much is actually known about it and I know when I had my first seizure I wanted answers - and there weren't any.

Please help me to help others with this condition, especially little children who can sometimes suffer many seizures every day.

I'm taking joker with me on the 21st of May, and hopefully we will take it steady and make the full 14 miles - he's a young dog and I'm unfit so we may not complete it quickly, but we should complete it!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you very much.

21st May - Progress Update!

Well guys, thanks for your donations - I managed 10 miles of the 14 before having to give in with a hip problem and two bloody great blisters on the soles of each foot - my fault - not enough preparation I don't think.

I understand if you would like a refund, although I do plan to do the remaining 4 miles as soon as the blisters and my hip are better (not too long I hope).

I'm pleased I made it to double figures, and it was a beautiful walk - I met lots of nice walkers and their dogs, and overcame a fear of 480yrd pitch black tunnels that I didn't know I had!! My torch was rubbish and I felt all 'upside down' but I kept going!

By the time Doug collected me I could barely get down the steps to the car park and I had a little cry as I felt I'd let everyone down. But, on reflection, I've done bloomin' well and if it was easy, it would be pointless wouldn't it!! I will post again when I'm doing the last bit.

Thank you to everyone who donated. It really is kind of you and a great cause.

Triv xx
