Hi guys!
Why am I doing this? I haven't run anywhere for over a year, so the thought of running for a bus - let alone doing a proper 10k run - is very scary! But, my chickens are the best thing - nosy, chatty & full of fun, if still a little bald! Best of all, they still lay like crazy & don't ask for much in return! How could they be written off after just one miserable year at a battery farm?
Well they don't have to be. Thanks to the Battery Hen Welfare Trust, these animals can have a happy retirement in loving homes. As a shining example of someone who gets puffed out going up the stairs, training for this run will be an enormous effort for me, being only 3 months after having Tallulah. So, your contributions will be well deserved & very much appreciated!
