Story
The event: The
Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run has run every other year since 1966. The idea is simple –
to drive Triumph cars around the UK, covering 2000 miles in 48 hours,
non - stop via a number of control stops. This is all undertaken in a classic Triumph sports car designed in the late 1960's.
The aim: To raise as much money and awareness as we can for MacMillan Cancer Support. The event target for all 108 teams combined is £75,000.
The team: Wayne Scott, Richard Chapman.
Wayne has previously completed three Round Britain Reliability Runs , making his debut in 2008. In 2010 he drove the TR Register Car Clubs sponsored TR7 in the event raising in excess of £2,500 for the charity. Richard Chapman from Derbyshire owns the TR6 that the team are driving this year and this is his first Round Britain Reliability Run.
The details: The 2014 RBRR is to be run over the first weekend of October (3-5), starting in London at the Plough, Crews Hill, Enfield, going up to John O'Groats, through Scotland and Wales to Lands End and finally back to it's start point in London. Since 1990 the event has supported UK Charities and entrants have raised approximately £450,000.
