My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
There have been many darts marathons of 24 hours or more, but our's will be the first true attempt to play darts over 26 miles and 385 yards.
There's 1,661,220 inches in a marathon. Throw three darts, walk to the dartboard to get them out and back again and you've covered 186.5 inches. Now do that 8,907 times and you've covered a marathon.
That's exactly what a group of more than 20 darts enthusiasts from the Reading area will be attempting to do at The Crispin pub in Wokingham. We'll be starting at 8.00 pm on Friday, 23rd April and ending around 40 hours later about noon on Sunday, April 25th - the same day as the London Marathon.
We are supporting three charities. Cancer Research, The Royal British Legion and a local dialysis unit in Reading. By making a dontation via this page you will be supporting the excellent work of Cancer Research UK.
Thank you!
