Dear All,
Namaste!!!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the Great North Run 2006.
Yes, I am running and have been training for a while now. This is my first year and am running for Oxfam and Make Poverty History Northeast team who supports Jubilee Debt Campaign. The fund which I will be raising will be split between Oxfam and Jubilee Debt Campaign to combat poverty and suffering in developing countries like my own country Nepal. This is a little thing I want do to show support in fight against the suffering. I am sure you will join with me to raise couple of pounds to fight global poverty.
I have been campaigning for Health and Education for all, Make Poverty History and Third world debt cancellation, Control Arms other Oxfam campaigns since I came to the UK and currently as Oxfam Newcastle Outreach Co-ordinator. This time I want do bit in different way, by taking part in the Great North Run 2006.
I hope you will agree this is a worthwhile cause of major public health and humanitarian importance. I am sure you will all help and sponsor me.
You might be wondering, coming from Nepal and lived in the high altitude, I might run quite fast. Since I started my training couple of months ago, found that running is different from climbing mountains and hills in Nepal. However, I am working hard in order to finish under 2 hours. Let see how fast I can run and raise!!!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: OXFAM and my chosen partner Jubilee Debt Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please sponsor me now - many thanks for your support.
