Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, I volunteer as a Community First Responder (CFR) and I am frequently on call to attend 999 calls within my local community to support patients with life-threatening conditions such as cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes, breathing difficulties etc until an ambulance arrives. CFRs are part of a charitable organisation and as such, we raise funds to buy CFR kits, which include a defibrillator and oxygen, as well as other basic diagnostic tools and first aid supplies.
On Friday 19th May 2017 I will be setting off with 15 team members to conquer the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
So while you are still planning your Friday night out, I will (hopefully!) be halfway up Ben Nevis. By the time pubs call last orders, we aim to be back down to base and planning to leave Scotland, heading for Scafell Pike. At some totally unreasonable hour of the morning, we will be starting our trek up England's highest peak (with views of the second highest peak, Scafell, just 8m lower!). If all goes to plan, we will then be ready to head to North Wales (probably before you've even had breakfast) in order to tackle the 3rd peak of the challenge, Snowdon. Although the ultimate goal is fundraising, the primary driver for this peak is to be back down to base, in the pub, in time for last food orders and a much needed beer :-D
Any donation you make will really make a difference and may ultimately save a life.
Thank you
Tamsyn :-)
