We provide humanitarian relief for children to improve their lives in war and poverty

Story

Tuesday's Child and friends are running and walking the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for our feeding programme for children in Gaza. We have been lending a helping hand to children in Gaza since 2007 and we give 100 percent of everything we receive. So every £10 you give goes to those most in need.

The Gaza strip is 25 miles long, 1 mile shorter than a marathon route. The narrow strip of land just 4-6 miles wide is the most densely populated place in the world.  In 2009, Operation Cast Lead dropped 1000 tonnes of bombs across this strip of land.  Imagine the impact of 1000 tonnes of bombs landing on the Dublin marathon route and the carnage and suffering this would cause? Eighteen months on, not one home has been rebuilt and people continue to live in the rubble of their former lives, hungry, traumatised and in utter despair unable to understand why the world does not seem to care.

Of the 1.5 million living under siege, 54 percent are children who have no voice. Tuesday's Child are running and walking to help at least some of these children.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Tuesday's Child gives everything we receive. So please dig deep and donate now for the children of Gaza.

Thank you.
