The RSPB is the country’s largest nature conservation charity, inspiring everyone to give nature a home. Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife. For any In Memory Donations please visit: https://www.rspb.org.uk/join-and-donate/donate/memorial-donations/

Story

Because my favourite TV presenter, Kate Humble, just got made president of the RSPB. Because I love wildlife. And because I love Mary Poppins.

I'm saving all my 2ps to donate to the RSPB. Join me - we're shooting for 100,000 tuppences.

The RSPB call themselves 'nature's voice'. They speak out for wildlife and protect our environment.

£3    can create over 15 metres of wildlife-friendly hedgerow
£5    pays for a vitally important Albatross Protection Kit
£9    can create over 100 square metres of precious heathland

Why 2ps? Because 'Feed the Birds' reminds me that it takes next to nothing to make a difference (and let's face it, we've all got next to nothing right now!) It doesn't matter if you're broke - or if you're a child - we can all manage tuppence. Which is all it takes.

I may do some creative 2p-collecting stunts at some point. You can too if you feel inspired. Or start dropping 2ps in a jar and donate when you've got a hundred. Or just click 'Donate now' and... donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. They’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you donate elsewhere, drop me an email at eve.jacques@gmail.com and I'll add your total here.

Edit: If you don't get what's so amazing about birds... Chris just said it. Read!! This is the most moving and inspiring thing I've read in a while.
