2013 Update
After a successful MTB trek, and a few months to rest the tired body, I decided it was time to move onwards and upwards. Nepal here I come.....Details below..
This 21 day Expedition of the Everest High Passes and Peaks explores the real Nepal through the four dramatic Himalayan valleys of Thame, Gokyo, Khumbu and Imja, with the ascent of four peaks: Gokyo RI 5357m, Aiwa Peak 5245m, Kalapatthar 5550m and the 6189m, Island peak. This expedition sets off on the 26th March 2013 and goes beyond just straightforward trekking to encompass a peak climbing expedition with extreme altitude. We also visit Everest Base camp and Ama Dablam base camp following in the footsteps of the great climbers of yesteryear. This is a self funded expedition. We have ten main sponsors donating £100 to Leukaemia. This means we have already raised over a £1000 which is fantastic.
2012 Update
After the South Downs way last summer, I thought I would challenge myself a little more and upgrade to the Mont Blanc Trek!! I fly to Geneva on Saturday (4th August 2012). The trek will include roughly 1000m asent and 1000m descent per day, and 118 miles in total over 10 walking days. This is only 18 miles more in length than the SDW but over 3 times the total asent and desent at altitude. Plus I will be camping, without the luxury of a bed each evening. Here is a guide to the trek

2011
Mr Turner (http://www.frank-turner.com/) has inspired me to give up my time, and do some crazy/not so crazy events to raise money for charity, and in memory of my Gran Hough :-) The list will be as long as I have idea's in my head!
1. Over the next 2+ weeks, I will be traveling around the UK from Turner gig to Turner gig. Starting in Nottingham on 13th May then Lancaster, Chester, Leeds, Manchester, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Cambridge and finally Portsmouth on 29th May.
2.
3. I will be getting 2 tattoo's once my mind is fully made up on the design.
4. July the 11th - 16th, I will be walking the South Downs way with 2 friends. Am already in training for this. I increased the mileage to a 15 mile walk Saturday the 7th May - very painful, but successful training :-)
5. Jump out of a plane, tandem Sky Dive - once the doc has said yes! This means a serious push to healthy living and giving up my vices!
I will posting links/pictures of events here and via the other "inter web" channels
Thanks for your time and Keep Smiling
Wozzie
