THE 2 C’S ARE DOING 10K
Spring is here and the 2 Carolyns have decided it’s time to brush off the cobwebs, stop eating so much and get fit! So Nicky and Michael beware – we’re abandoning our aprons and swapping our spatulas for our sneakers in a bid to compete in this year’s BUPA 10K run on 25th May.
We’re running on behalf of the Karen Morris Memorial Trust which does a fantastic job in providing much needed support and facilities for Leukaemia patients and their families. Having opened the first “Home from Home” in 2007 at Hammersmith Hospital, their aim is to have 5 more at hospitals throughout the UK by 2014 offering much needed accommodation to families of patients receiving bone marrow treatment.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us; KMMT gets your money faster and if you’re a tax payer, Justgiving adds 25% in Gift Aid plus a 3% supplement to your donation.
This year’s route will cover part of the marathon course for the 2012 Olympics – the closest either of us will get to competing in the games. So please, help spur us on by sponsoring us.
