<p><span style="color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;"><strong>One Down, One to Go!!!</strong></span></p> <p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Lisa and I have run one half marathon, but that near killed us both. Despite careful training, we have both picked up injuries and cannot run.</p> <p><strong>We are down, but not out! We have replaced the second half with a 30 mile off road cycle ride.</strong></p> <p>We are raising money for the charity Lisa works for; Solent Mind. They work across the whole of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight providing services for those affected by mental health issues.</p> <p>There is a huge tendancy for people to shy away as soon as the big 'M' word of mental health is mentioned. There are thouasands of people affected, many of which are too ashamed or afraid to talk about their problems. There are a large range of problems that come under the mental health umbrella. 1 in 4 people at some point in their life will suffer from some form of mental health problem. If you have ever suffered from stress or been depressed; you have suffered from a mental health problem. I am running to raise money for the charity but also to help quash the stigma attached to Mental Health.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
