We can't pretend it was easy. The last few miles were particularly long and arduous, which means the generosity of our sponsors even more appreciated.

And a big thank-you to everyone who came to cheer us on – and of course our vital support crew of  Jackie, Louise, Greg, Ian, Simon, Tom, Tom and Rupert, without whom we would not have made it past Newbury.

Every yard of water covered was in aid of WellChild, which helps sick children overcome much greater challenges than ours (see left). The charity is working everyday - nursing sick children, supporting sick children and funding ground-breaking research to help save the lives of sick children.
