Remenham to Twickenham Rowing Marathon · 31 July 2010

TwRC is a local, friendly Rowing Club based in Twickenham which is an integral part of the community, which is run by volunteers and welcomes members from every part of the community from Juniors to Veterans at all levels from beginners and recreational rowers to those who compete at Henley.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit Twickenham Rowing Club's JustGiving page.

After a season of loading and unloading boats we've decided to eliminate the usual trailer faff that accompanies each regatta and row two doubles 75km from Henley to Twickenham. It'll take us 22 hours (with an overnight stop) to cover the distance and to carry the boats over 17 locks.

We're doing this to raise money for the Rowing Club's building fund. Money from this fund in the first instance will be used to make all parts of the club accessible by installing a new lift and a level entrance to the boat house. Making Twickenham Rowing Club and rowing, available to all parts of the community.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you
