Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Uganda Development Services.
As a trustee of Uganda Development Services and an IT specialist I have always supported the Information Centre in Kamuli which is a pioneering technology and information service to the district. I am also very impressed with the agricultural extension work to farmers in Bugaya. In 2006 when the farmers heard I was a water engineer they put me on the spot about their problems with water. I was able to arrange some training and help them to begin water harvesting by building water tanks. So far 14 tanks have been built. There is a need for 150. The tanks transform the lives of the people in the homesteads and communities which have them. The impact of UDS in the Kamuli District is significant and I am committed to every action which can increase this.
I am taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 20th June to raise funds for UGANDA DEVELOPMENT SERVICES. The walk is 26 miles long over rough terrain and takes in the three peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The course will be difficult to finish and I will do my best to do so. You can see the route at http://www.walkingenglishman.com/dales1.htm
The money donated through this website will go directly to UGANDA DEVELOPMENT SERVICES whether or not I complete the walk!! I hope you will sponsor me and help to transform some more lives.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: UGANDA DEVELOPMENT SERVICES gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Thank you. www.ugandadev.com
