Thank you for helping us raise funds towards a 'Therakos Extra-Corporeal Photophoresis (ECP) machine'. This will be used to treat graft versus host disease, a serious skin disease which affects people who have had bone marrow transplants, and also a rare type of skin cancer. The ECP machine is connected to the patient's circulation, it removes a specific type of white blood cell, treats the cells in the machine using a combination of a drug and UV light, and then returns the cells to the body. We have identified a team which will operate the new service at UHB for skin cancer and bone marrow transplant patients, but require support to purchase the machine which costs £6400. A team of nurses, secretaries, doctors and managers has pounded the streets in all weathers and is now looking for your support. Please dig deep and sponsor us, no pain no gain! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us. University Hospital Birmingham Charities will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support.
