We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

Hi all

Thanks for visiting my page.

My name is Keith Brownrigg and on Wednesday 17th June I will start walking the longest way marked trail within Great Britain and Ireland, the . The Ulster Way measures just under 600 miles and I am aiming to complete this within 5 weeks. Except for resupplies of gas and food, I will be walking this loop unsupported, carrying everything I need: tent, sleeping system, clothing, stove, food, water, maps, etc.

Throughout this time I am hoping to raise a good amount of money and also the awareness of the Lifeboats (RNLI) a charity that relies on public support to save lives at sea. Any money donated goes towards training and equipping volunteer crews who readily exchange leisure, comfort and sleep for cold, wet and fatigue (something I'm sure I'll be able to empathize with by the end of my trip.) Their lifesaving work is essential, often difficult and sometimes dangerous.

Please give anything you can, all money, large or small, will help saving lives.

Many thanks

Keith

P.S

You can follow my progress online via my blog (click here) which I will hopefully be able to update daily, however this will be dependant on phone signal/battery/internet cafes.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
