Story
As most of you know, this year I have been planning an Expedition involving a Solo swim across the English channel followed by a 18, 426 km cycle to Cape Aghullas, the most Southerly point in Africa.
This trip begins on the 21st September and will take about 8 months to complete, and will be the first time this journey has been completed under human power.
The aim is to raise money for UNICEF, in particular for the crisis in Darfur, Sudan, where over 200,000 people have been killed and thousands of children have been left homeless and orphaned. I have set the fundraising target as £10,000, hopefully to be achieved by May next year when I expect to complete the trip. I am organising various fundraing events before I leave however I thought this would be a good way to get the ball rolling.
I would be extremely grateful if you would like to make a donation to this cause. All of the funds donated will go directly to the cause and will not be used to help with any of the expedition costs.
Thank you
Ed Kirby
