Ultimate North Expedition · 5 January 2005

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Barclays Capital Ultimate North fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online as we make our way across the icy wastes of the Arctic. Our fundraising target of £25,000 will help to pay for six disadvantaged young people in the Tower Hamlets area of London to start up their own businesses.

92% of young people supported by the Prince's Trust's 'business programmes' are financially independent after a year. Your contribution will make a real difference to giving those not as fortunate as ourselves a real kick-start in their adult lives.

For the 710 of you who made it to the Royal Geographical Society for the Ultimate North lecture evening on 17th February 2005, a huge thank you for your unbelievably generous support. The evening raised a grand total of £8,523.12 towards our target so we're now over a third of the way there!

But there's still much work to be done.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Prince's Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now! To find out more about our expedition to the North Pole, please visit www.barcapultimatenorth.com. Many thanks for your generous support. Tom, George, Andrew, Matty, Hugh and the dogs
