Story
We've done the walk!! It went really well (no injuries and no muscle aches the morning after) and was easier than expected so Alhamdulillah we managed to walk an extra 2km. JazakAllah Khair for all your support! :)
Alhamdulillah we have managed to exceed our fundraising target but if you still wish to donate you're more than welcome to do so. Victims of the earthquake will need our continuous help and every little counts towards making a difference to at least one life so don't be afraid to donate less than others. We pray that this money is used to reach those most in need, ameen..

To find out how Muslim Hands is helping, please visit: www.muslimhands.org ----- Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. The death toll has risen to 80,000 and millions have been left homeless in Pakistan after a powerful earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale rocked the region on 08/10/05. The UN has described this disaster as their "worst nightmare" and officials say the death toll is likely to continue increasing as many people are still buried under huge rubbles. Those who have survived have either lost their loved ones or are suffering from the aftermath of this disaster. Meanwhile, health officials are warning of a new threat for survivors. They fear measles and other diseases could spread quickly through tent cities, especially as the winter weather sets in. Pakistan's military spokesman has said that an entire generation of young people has been wiped out in the areas worst hit by the quake as most deaths and casualties are those of children. People are desperately in need of basic necessities and require our URGENT help. My sister, cousin, friend and I will be participating in a 10km sponsored walk at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham on 12/11/05 to raise money for victims of the earthquake. So please sponsor us now! If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% tax bonus will be added to your donation at no cost to you! Many thanks and JazakAllah Khair for your support, Aima, Sadaf, Shamilla & Rehana
