Welcome to our web page. Please dig deep and help us raise money for Care of Police Survivors. http://www.ukcops.org
We have now completed the Police Unity Tour (PUT) and apart from a few aches and pains it went very well.
All travel expenses, including air fares and hotels are funded from our own pockets so every penny that you have raised goes directly to the charity. I would like to say a big thank you for your generosity.
The funds will be presented to COPS during the police memorial event at the end of July, so there is still time to donate for those that want to.
Some of the photos from the tour are on a Facebook page: 'Bromley PUT' . If you have Facebook type that into a search to view the images.
We would like to thank Chapter VIII for allowing us to be part of this amazing event to raise money for our charity. Thanks also to the guys from TREK who lent us four brand new top of the range bikes to ride while on the tour.
** On the 23rd July a fund raising event will be held in the Bromley area. Tickets will be £10 so look out for posters with full details **
Care of Police Survivors (COPS) is dedicated to helping surviving UK families rebuild their lives after the trauma of a line of duty death of a Police Officer. It aims to provide the survivors with all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy by survivors helping survivors.
To raise money we have put together a small Metropolitan Police team to take part in the 'Unity Tour' cycle event in the USA for the second year running.:
Chief Insp. Rob Atkin - CCC Lambeth
Sergeant Gary Byfield - CO19
Sergeant Lee Howes - Bickley Safer Neighbourhood Team
Sergeant Dave Harvey - Shortlands Safer Neighbourhood Team
We will be cycling 285 miles with American Law Enforcement Officers into Washington DC to co-inside with their Police Memorial Week. Each officer rides in memory of a dedicated person (s).
In addition to sponsorship we will be selling COPS tie pins for £2 - You can contact me at Lee.howes@met.police.uk to buy a pin.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Care of Police Survivors will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
