The Unprofessionals are taking part in the 7 Capitals Cinquecento Challenge 2009 in August 2009. For this event, the Unprofessionals will be John Hammond & Michaela Lewis.

With 39bhp from its 899cc engine, the humble Fiat Cinquecento is probably the last car you would choose to take on a 2,300 mile challenge to visit 7 European Capitals in just 7 days.

7 Capitals sees teams set off from London on 21st August 2009 on a cross Europe trek to visit:

London, UK
Paris, France
Bern, Switzerland
Vienna, Austria
Prague, Czech Republic
Berlin, Germany
Amsterdam, Holland
Brussels, Belguim
and then back to Britain on the 7th day

There won't be comfy hotels on route, each team will be camping on route, in or near every capital they visit.

The event is dedicated to the memory of my late father Brian Hammond who died of complications relating to terminal cancer in October 2007, and to friend and former colleague Eric Rush who lost his battle with cancer in June 2006.
