Dave's Upriver Thames Walk · 10 November 2008

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) is the UK’s leading charity representing and supporting half a million adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and children and young people with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), through our helpline, information services, research and campaigns.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'll be walking the 100+ miles of the Upriver (non-tidal) Thames Path from Richmond Lock to Godstow Lock (just north of Oxford) over the Xmas and New Year period.  I'll start at Richmond on Sun 21st Dec, am aiming to reach Henley (half-way) by Xmas, and will walk from Henley to Godstow over 4 days between Xmas and New Year.

I'm doing this to raise money for NRAS - the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.  NRAS provides support for sufferers of Rheumatoid Arthritis and campaigns for the best treatments and care.  It costs NRAS about £50,000 just to operate the helpline service each year.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
