My story
On 8 July, a team of runners from URENCO Court will be taking part in the British 10k London Run.
In taking part in the run, we are raising money for Special Olympics Great Britain, a charity that offers year-round sport training and competition opportunities to all people with intellectual (learning) disabilities, regardless of their ability.
We have pledged to raise £2,000 as a team, which is no mean feat, so please dig deep and sponsor us now.

We're all getting over excited, the race packs have been delivered to our home addresses! Shout out to Alyson who is bringing one in with her, special delivery.
We're all looking forward to getting our hands on the race packs - in particular the Special Olympics shoelaces.
Welcoming ... our superstar 'Forrest Gump' Shaun O'Brien to the team! He'll be keeping pace at the front with Heather Small from M People.
Two of our runners are now unable to take part so our fundraising target has reduced slightly... Still a long way to go - THANK YOU to everyone who has sponsored us so far, you're all diamonds!

Special Olympics Great Britain is the country’s major provider of sporting opportunities for people with a learning disability focusing on providing equality of opportunity for all athletes regardless of their level of athletic ability. It is a volunteer based organization, with 135 local branches and provides year-round sports training in a variety of Olympic type sports for over 8000 learning disabled people.
