URY's Longest Show Ever in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support · 15 January 2013

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

In order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, on the 8th and 9th March two University Radio York presenters, Tom Edwards and Will Chalk, will attempt to present the longest show ever broadcast on the station. Starting at 7am on Friday and finishing at 11pm on Saturday, the show will run continuously for staggering 40 hours. Joining them will be Newsreader Ben Bason, a selection of university students and staff, live bands, representatives from MacMillan and a host of celebrity guests.

How can you support them? Tune in online at ury.org.uk or, if you’re on campus, on 1350am, tweet your support using the hashtag #urymarathon, and, most importantly, donate to Macmillan via this page. For more information visit www.macmillan.org.uk and www.facebook.com/ury1350
