It's for a very good cause. In June I will be leaving to Burkina Faso to work together with International Service to promote the rights of the most vulnerable, particularly women. I will be working as a team leader, liasing with my volunteer team and local partners, to implement programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of women by further developing their local capacity to reduce poverty. 

Every team leader or volunteer participating in the programme needs to fund raise a target of £800.00 before departure, which shows our commitment to the programme and represents a contribution towards the costs of our placement.
