<p>November 2011 Update</p> <p>I am absolutely delighted with the fantastic amount of money that we have raised so far for Breakthrough Breastcancer and would like to thank everyone for their amazing generosity.&nbsp; I am pleased to say that the chemotherapy and radiotherapy are now over and I am looking forward to a long overdue holiday at Christmas.</p> <p>October 2011</p> <p>As you will probably be aware I was diagnosed with breast cancer&nbsp;just before&nbsp;Easter and am now halfway through my treatment.&nbsp;</p> <p>Whilst I haven't let it get in the way of me doing most of the things I love to do it has been a slight inconvenience to say the least. One thing I have realised is just how common breast cancer is,&nbsp;a huge number of friends and friends of friends have suffered from it.&nbsp;Current statistics show that one in every&nbsp;seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer!</p> <p>I have been receiving some excellent treatment, but Breakthrough Breast Cancer raises money to support research with the aim of improving treatment and ultimately finding a cure.</p> <p>Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you will make a donation to help me support the fight against this terrible disease.</p> <p>Lots of love</p> <p>Val x</p>
