Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is a charity close to our hearts with personal resonance.

We are taking part in an event which provides the perfect opportunity to make a difference and we hope to raise as much as we can for this very important charity.

We are circumnavigating Britain and Ireland TWICE in the following stages:

- from Shetland to Plymouth to deliver 'Streamline' to the start of the race = 777 nm (nautical miles)

- competing in the Shetland Round Britain and Ireland Race 2010:

            Leg 1 - Plymouth to Kinsale = 230 nm

            Leg 2 - Kinsale to Castlebay = 440 nm

            Leg 3 - Castlebay to Lerwick = 420 nm

            Leg 4 - Lerwick to Lowestoft = 470 nm

            Leg 5 - Lowestoft to Plymouth = 305 nm

            Total race distance = 1865 nm

- returning home to Shetland from Plymouth = 1035 nm
