Story

<p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Hi Dear Friend</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Some of you will know that I successfully completed the Great South Run in 2009 &ndash; my first ever run.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Despite that, I didn&rsquo;t get the running bug and do not find it easy!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>However, when Dorset Blind Association asked me if I would do a 10k run on 24 July this year, I couldn&rsquo;t refuse.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">First of all, I have recently become friendly with an 85 year old lady who is completely blind and lives on her own.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Through this friendship, I have just begun to understand how difficult being blind is in everyday life, not to mention how many restrictions it places on the individual concerned. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;">Dorset Blind Association is</span><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"> a local, independent charity supporting people with sight loss throughout the County. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>It does not receive any fixed central or local government funding and relies entirely on a combination of voluntary donations, membership fees, grants and income from its transcription services.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>So you see, it does need our help.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span><span style="color: black;">Coincidentally, the 24 July 2009 was the first run I ever did and was only 2 minutes at a time! So it seems to be an auspicious date.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dorset Blind Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.<br /><br />So please sponsor me now!<br /><br />Many thanks for your support and very kind regards from</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;">Vanessa and all those people who will be touched by Dorset Blind Association</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></p>
