In memory of Tim Alfred

Papyrus is a young person’s suicide prevention charity. That means we provide urgent support, education, campaigns and conversations that keep children and young people safe from suicide. And above all else, we’re here. We’re always here. That’s how we save lives.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking part in a Ladies' Driving Challenge on June 27th in memory of my brother Tim.  The challenge involves driving a variety of vehicles: Lorries, Quad Bikes, Double Decker Buses, Sports Cars, Fire Engines! (All within a supervised track!).

I lost my brother, Tim, to suicide last year and am taking part in this fundraiser to raise awareness of the issue, and also of the support that is available for young people.

PAPYRUS is a voluntary UK organisation committed to the prevention of young suicide and the promotion of mental health and emotional wellbeing.  They:

• Support those who live or work with suicidal young people
• Commission research and campaign for change
• Share expertise and good practice
• Produce resources for families and professionals.

Anything you can donate, however big or small, will help PAPYRUS carry out their much needed work providing young people with the help and support they need.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Papyrus (Prevention Of Suicides) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you so much for your support.

Vanessa
