Thank you for coming to this page. My daugher Nicole has Neurofibromatois Type 1. There is no government funding into Neurofibromatosis and most of the medical profession has never come across it.. It leaves me just feeling that nothing is happening to help families affected by it. thats why I have decided to try to raise a bit of money to put into research and anything you are able to donate will be gratefully appreciated.
It is a very complex condition, some of the disorders associated with NF are learning difficulties, deformities of facial and leg bones brain tumours , cancer, growth of internal lumps speech and language problems, and large sometimes very large external lumps that can be painful.
At the moment Nicole leads a very happy life and she accepts her 'problems' well, but all this could change anyday since it is such an unpredictable condition. Unfortunately it is such a long name, but if you could remember Neurofibromatois (NF) for short I would feel that I have done something useful
