Story
Dear friends
My mission is to run the British 10 K London Run on 12th July 09. I aim to raise a serious amount of money for the seriously wonderful work that is carried out at the Skanda Vale Hospice.
This is going to be a great challenge for me as I have not undertaken any meaningful exercise in many years. However, after hearing about this wonderful cause I immediately removed the cob webs from my running shoes and started training.
The Skanda Vale Hospice really does show a strong sense of humanity. It welcomes anyone that has a terminal illness to come and be surrounded by sincere emotional, spiritual and physical care to improve their quality of life.
The service also provides support to the families of those who seek help from the Hospice. The service is free of charge. There are no material benefits gained from the service offered. The only gain is that of satisfaction from the vast improvements in the overall health of those in the sanctuary of the Skanda Vale Hospice.
So, I hope you will join me in helping to support this truly amazing work. I know times are hard at the moment but even a small donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and taking the time to find out more information about my charity run.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Skanda Vale Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
