We've done it! 300km in just one day for Vision Aid Overseas, and we still need your support.
Our aim is to raise £5,000 to help Vision Aid Overseas to provide life-transforming eye examinations and glasses to patients in developing countries.
Team SBR is made up of a mixed "rag tag" bunch of optical types ranging from triathletes to darts players!
Last year, this group of mad cyclists rode 150km in a day, but that wasn't enough! This year we're riding 300km in a day (that's 187 miles). We want to raise as much as we can to support the amazing work of Vision Aid Overseas and to face the personal challenge of cycling this huge distance (same as London to Leeds!)
Please support our efforts and the fantastic work of Vision Aid Overseas, every penny is appreciated!
At 300 km, the Vätternrundan Challenge is the largest recreational bicycle ride in the world and an opportunity for cyclists from all over the world to experience the thrill of a large scale cycling event.
Optician Magazine have helped to kick off the fundraising by making a donation of £100 - but we are extremely keen to raise as much money as we can to help Vision Aid Overseas to reach more patients, so please give generously if you can.
10% of the world’s population, some 670 million people, are disabled or disadvantaged simply because they do not have glasses.
So please dig deep and donate now.
