Update on April, 2011.
Since we launched this page on my birthday in May 2009, we have raised over £5000 and have managed to buy the litter grabbers (see below) for destitute litter pickers in Mumbai. We raised £2010 at my birthday/fundraiser in London on 15th May 2010 so thanks to all that turned up and those that made generous online donations here at JG. The metal litter-grabbers from China have actually been delivered to Mumbai but we are waiting for visa clearances and then we'll be setting a date for the launch, hopefully on Monday June 6th 2011 but if not then soon after. At the launch we'll present the litter grabbers to our charity partners United Way Mumbai and cheques for £500 to CIRa (Macedonian abused children) and Lifeblood (UK DVT research). Any excess and any further donations after 6th June 2011will go to our UK charity partners Learning for Life (see below). Thank you for supporting us and our causes, and for remembering Vaska.

Vaska Trajkovska passed away on 7th May 2008 from Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and this charity is to promote some of the causes dear to her heart. Please visit the website at www.ambassadorsofangels.com for further details.
Instead of buying me a birthday present, and to remember Vaska on her birthday in June, please donate if you can towards our own inaugural 'Save-a-Back' campaign and other causes -
1. LEARNING FOR LIFE (LFL) - UK/ASIA - overcoming poverty by providing South Asia's poor and oppressed with education and opportunity.
2. SAVE-A-BACK - INDIA - with the help of LFL we have bought 1000 litter-grabbers, commonly used by Litter Management Operatives in Developed Countries. Through our NGO partners United Way Mumbai, we will distribute them for free to Mumbai's destitute child and adult slumdog litter-pickers who spend up to 12 hours a day bending down to pick up waste paper and other other recyclable waste products such as cans off the street to sell onto a recycler, earning about $1 a day to feed their families rather than beg on the streets.
3. CIRa - The Center for Institutional Development - MACEDONIA - we will make a private donation to the campaign for the support of sexually abused children and youth in Macedonia, just one of their current programmes.
4. LIFEBLOOD - we will make a private donation to promote awareness about thrombosis, including DVT, and to increase understanding of its causes, effects and the treatment available.
