If you decide to donate, you will be giving money to something that saves lives. What a lot of people do not know and are often not told by doctors, is that an epileptic fit can cause sudden death. I nearly lost my brother two years back, and unfortunately, a cousin of ours died of an Epileptic fit not so long ago.
The charity, Epilepsy Bereaved, is embedded deep in our family foundations as my Aunty , the mother of the cousin we lost, was one of its founders. This kayaking trip around the UK aims to raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Bereaved to put towards research into epilepsy and to help save lives.
I have been training for the past 8 months and have just over a week left until I set off. I am hoping to enjoy some safe paddling.
