Story
Hi everyone!
So, I decided it would be a really great idea to sign myself up for this challenge RED January...run every day in January. I'll get some exercise, raise money for a good cause... easy peasy...except for that running part! I'm not exactly known for being a super athlete, but you might know that like many, many other people I've struggled with my mental health.
Over the years I've learnt to manage my anxiety (with varying degrees of success!) through CBT, support from my wonderful friends and family and a lot of hard work. This year is probably the first winter in around 5 years that I haven't struggled with my mental health and I really do believe that is because I started running this year! I don't do it often, I don't even do it well but I do it and it really does make a difference! So this is why I have decided to take part in RED January - to give me the motivation to keep on running and to help fundraise for Mind so they can support others to get out there too.
I will be extremely grateful if you can help me reach my very modest target and if you see me out and about feel free to shout "Run Verity Run!
