Welcome to the Vet on a Bike JustGiving page.  My name is Ian Wright and, starting in January 2014, I’ll be cycling across Africa from Sudan to South Africa as part of the 2014 Tour d'Afrique expedition.  Along the way, I'll be raising funds for the Born Free Foundation, stopping in to see some of their projects along the way and fulfilling a life-long dream to travel overland through Africa.

The entire expedition will be completely self-financed,with every penny raised going directly to the Born Free Foundation and the amazing conservation work they do throughout the world.

This is my second attempt at a trans-African expedition - in October 2011 I set out to cycle solo from the UK.  Unfortunately a knee injury forced a postponement after just a few weeks, but I'd always planned on having another go!
