Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. The Great North Run is looming once again and after another typically English Summer, when quite frankly, at times, a snorkel and a pair of flippers were probably more appropriate than trainers, I have run several hundred miles around the country lanes in my village to prepare myself for this annual event in my life! I can't believe that this is the 6th consecutive year that I will be attempting to complete this now familiar course from Newcastle to South Shields.
My chosen charity this year is the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and I recently enjoyed a fantastic visit to their HQ at Norwich Airport. (as you can see from the photograph)! The Air Ambulance is run by the most amazing team of people, they are totally passionate about it and their enthusiasm is infectious. They took time out to show me around the whole Air Ambulance operation and I even sat in the pilot's seat of Anglia One!! I felt like a child in a sweet shop!
We are all busy people with hectic lives, we travel to and from work along incredibly busy roads every day - we none of us know when we might need the services of the Air Ambulance. This is an absolutely vital service for East Anglia and one which can truly mean the difference between life and death. Please help me to keep Anglia One flying and doing its amazing job for us all.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: East Anglian Air Ambulance gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now and thank you for you invaluable support!
