The time has come to take the challenge of running my first marathon, every gruelling 26.2 miles (for Vicky) and for Rachel to improve on her time from the Edinburgh marathon last May. We're both gunning for under 4hrs 30min and what better city to host us than Paris.

We've decided to run for a charity called 'The Butterfly Tree' who are based in Warwick and work to support rural communities in Zambia who are decimated by HIV/Aids. They provide safe water, feeding programmes, improve health and education systems and also run an orphanage sponsorship programme.

Your money will help with a particular project they are running at the moment to help orphaned children have a chance in life.
